the summer isn't over till the clock says stop

blue2sepia2
it's hot and sub-tropical at the moment...
feels like spain in the wintertime, we came out of the house on saturday morning to do the post for the shop and had to go back to dump our jackets... even though it was cloudy, it's humid.
saturday afternoon was of course a photo sesson with madame blueflame - which was fairly easy as she knew what she was doing and looks the part, so all i had to do was take pictures... more to follow as i work my photoshop magic on them....
got to practise my couple photo technique at the same time, as i dragged her man into the picture session.

a slight sepia tint and composition using the rule of thirds technique, with a close crop, putting the female model in the central emphasis... the background is pure hollywood style, blurred and darkened for a noir effect... she's a fifties fanatic who only likes sepia tint, so i'll be interested in her response to the image which i've also used my personal selective blurring style on...

as the food doctor diet has officially and successfully finished, we thought we'd be clever and order pizza from the shop we used to get deliveries from maybe once or twice a week.
it tasted horrible and left me feeling bloated and full of stodgy white bread... after a month and a half of eating very healthy food, i guess i no know just how badly we'd been eating before... never again - it's so easy to not eat stuff from packets that's full of additives.

a quick wash and change from scruffy clothes into tie and shirt for the lloyd tripp gig... a great night out, i bumped into phil (phil used to be in a band called the eightballs!) who told me he had been trying to reach me on the phone, and had left answerphone messages, which i was oblivious too... as i never use the phone these days - i don't even have a mobile, as i find them cringeworthy( i have had them, but they would just wither away on me, from disuse...), he's put together a band(which we'd talked about before) for me to play keyboards in, playing garagepunk songs... not sure how i can play keyboard to dirty water by the standells, as it doesn't have any keyboard parts that i'm aware of... but hey-ho, i also have to aquaint myself with the sonics, who i've mostly avoided...
the gig was excellent, lloyd tripp and the tripwires, blowing some great unpretentious rockabilly blues until about midnight...
